It's all about music, from early days on. Always looking for the melody that catches the attention. Never works without having read, or rather studied the manuals. Audio engineer, songwriter, guitar player all in one person and with a classical education to back him up.
Muxer is Martijn Res, born in 1970 somewhere between Amsterdam and the beach. He was 7 when he got a wooden flute, 8 when he got a guitar, 9 when he got his first classical guitar lessons and that string of events ended up as leadguitar player and backing vocalist of a band.
With his funkrock band (which wasn't so suspicious as nowadays) he took it to the semi-finals of the Grote Prijs and released 2 white labeled cd's. Music Maker voted the last one 9th of the year 1994 out of all independent Dutch releases.
Left the band to get his degree in Information Technology (cum laude) in Amsterdam. There his love for funk drove him to local dance scenes that were developing an audience for progressive house and electro.
Now technology and music fell in place. Through the years he collected an impressive attire of hard- and software in his home studio. At the School of Audio Engineering he was taught how to finish a track, how to produce and master.
By the time he was set to go, he met Jesse Voorn, and together they produce tracks since the beginning of 2006. 3 unreleased tracks were spinned by Jesse, before they signed a record deal with Deal Record, end 2006.
Get It Done is available on Beatport and on vinyl, Muxer extends his work in collaboration with other DJ's moving to progressive / minimal techno.
