When I moved to Utrecht in 1999 a met a lot of great musicians. In 2003 I recorded the cd In My Garden with my own songs and compositions. In 2004 I gathered my favorite musicians to play on some new songs. This became the band HotchPotch. The band is involved in different projects at the moment. Besides working on own material, HotchPotch has recorded an album with Dutch Legend Kaz Lux in 2007. The cd is titled Osmosis after an composition by Janos.I just recorded a new album with Gilles Rullmann on fiddle. We played our sets live in the studio and managed to capture the interaction, dynamics and pleasure of two musicians in full flight. The cd Janos & Gilles is available through Gilles' website www.gillesrullmann.comLast year Izak Boom, Bart Soeters, Arthur Bont, and Janos started the group Spoor. This is a pop folk band with Dutch songs. We all compose tunes but also play traditional material in a fresh way.
