About Me

"An emotional journey through lush strings, lamenting piano, thumping breakbeats, minimalist electronica and uplifting synth soundscapes... or something"

Ultraviolet currently working as a freelance music producer, graphic designer and photographer. Finally decided to make the music that I really want to make: breaks and bass and strings and piano. A kind of soundtrack music for the dancefloor.

My more commercial work is on a hiatus as I move my studio from all hardware to a mix of hardware and software. I am always on the lookout for remix, soundtrack and commercial work. Someone's got to keep a roof over my head!

I'm such a gay...

For reasons oh so terribly shameful, I've momentarily ditched my usual orchestral breakbeat for a teensy bit of trance. But, hell, I'm rather pleased with the results. Back in the day I use to knock up...

Soundtrack complete

I've completed (I think...) the soundtrack to a short film called Vigilant Citizen. It's a futuristic thriller set in the year 2020, all about a totalitarian state and one man's stand against it.I've ...

Well, I've got the final piece of my studio jigsaw. A Roland Edirol  PCR-M50 controller keyboard. Just about the first piece of brand new kit I've ever bought. Cost £120 from Sound Control, and p...

Last night I brought home an Access Virus B desktop synth module in glorious nick and sounding quite wonderful. And all for a measly £350. Thanks to Mark, the genial seller.So... expect some Virus-infu...

Just a quick and pointless update

I've added some new pics and changed the tunes around a bit. Still nothing to show you from my album project. Mainly cos I still haven't pulled my finger out and purchased stuff for my studio.Still on...

First track up

Finally got something to actually justify this being a music page. My first track on here is From Darkness - a slice of beats and bass with a rather grandiose strings finale. The track was originally ...
