About Me

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor

Sometimes gentle and soft, at others witty and zippy, sometimes hard and brutal: the genius of LAMA: Michael "Zissy" De Mel (Vocals, Guitar), Felix "Feggi" Müller (Bass) and Chaschper Kron (Drums). The Trio from Basel, Switzerland, plays traditional Jamaican Reggae and Ska mixed with European Punk-Rock. Typical for them is the bracing offbeat-groove next to the tact-beat which teeters any granny out of her wheelchair and gets her to dance. Next to mainly their own songs you`ll sometimes hear a cover of LAMA`s great idols Sublime at one of their concerts. With their infamous orange coloured Volvo and the old trailer the three guys from LAMA have driven thousands of kilometers. LAMA have played more than 200 concerts. They have toured all over Switzerland, Germany and Liechtenstein. There is nearly no place where they haven`t yet played, no matter if it was an open-air in front of a thousand people or at the birthday party of mum-in-law. Everyone, from the stoned rasta to the rebellious punk and rocking granny, is at home and free to dive into the melting pot that is a LAMA gig. A great atmosphere is a given at any time!
