I am here for Friends

About Me

First and foremost, God is my driving force. He absolutely leads me through thick and thin and without Him I am nothing. All too often I might overlook the grace He's given but He's never too slow in reminding me. The Lord wants to lead in your life too. All you need to do is drop the baggage outside the gate and let Him carry you through. Being a Christian does not exempt you from temptation and lifes struggles but you will never be able to overpower the bad or live more fulfilling and complete life without Him. After all, you are not your own, He is your Father and the sooner you come to realizing that, the sooner you will find your life falling in tune to what it was designed to be. The time for decision is today, make it...........
To put me in a nutshell I'm a guy who does a little of everything.
I'm big into restoring and collecting antique and classic cars as well as military vehicles, boats, tractors, firearms, or any kind of machine.....
Designing and developing oilfield tools, working on high performance vehicles, civil war reenactor, renovating old houses, electrician (uncertified), developing alternate energy devices, making homebrew biodiesel, farming/ranching, doing carpentry or metal/machine work, or viewing/composing art, aeronautical technology and airframe design, did some work in robotics for my work, done work in major motion pictures, nature buff, 4X4 and off-road, firearms technology; I'm definitely not the typical guy.
My diversities are just too much to type out here so if you want to know about me then ask; we might have something in common?
I'm also workaholic and spend waaaay too much time at my office but if I can get away from work I like to spend time at my camp in Toledo Bend or do stuff at my new house; mostly the latter. For fun you can catch me fishing, hiking, hunting, reenacting, watching old movies, and just enjoying the outdoors. I like hydro sliding, skiing, and most water sports as well as baseball and lacrosse. I'm a big traveler and my hobbies take me all around the US (mostly eastern) and if I'm not busy doing something else I like to run the roads.
I just got into ranching but instead of cattle I'll be raising Bison; I figured hell why not do something different and make it interesting. Once settled in at my place I'll be going back to finish college preferably at LSUE and get my degree in Mechanical Engineering. (edit. Just found out that I won't be able to do that...I'll have to see what I can work out over there.)
My dislikes......I cannot stand whiney, inefficient people. When I want something done I expect it to be so. Don't beat around the bush or tell me how you want to do something, just do it. What can I say.....I like seeing results and progress. I know I can be pretty absolute....but I am very forgiving as well!
Anyway.....LOL! If I didn't scare you off, I always like to meet new people so shoot me a message. :)

My Interests

Music:

I’m one of those guys that never grew out of the 80’s early 90’s. I never did dig the alternative rock nor have I been able to get into too much of what’s popular today. Pretty much all metal, some hard rock, some of the old hair bands. I also dig classical and some country if, and that’s a big if, I feel like it. Really I’m not absolved into music like allot of folks are. Basically if I can’t pound the asphalt with it then it’s usually not on my preferred list. I’m kinda funny about this but that's me. For the most part however, I am Lynyrd Skynyrd through and through....

Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alice Cooper, Iced Earth, Rose Tattoo, Jethro Tull, Whitesnake, Dio, 38 Special, Def Leppard, Cinderella, Motley Crue, Megadeth, Motorhead, Marty Friedman, Cannibal Corpse, Gwar, Zakk Wylde, Black Label Society, Van Halen, Alice in Chains, Twisted Sister, Steve Miller, Allman Brothers Band, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Kentucky Headhunters, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Scorpions, Slaughter, Dave Matthews, Queensryche, Quiet Riot, Poison, Ted Nugent, Warrant, White Lion, Kix, Alabama, Europe, Nazareth, Led Zeppelin, KISS, Billy Idol, Foreigner, Damn Yankees, Guns n’ roses, Fleetwood Mac, Doobie Brothers, Fastway, Deep Purple, CCR, Bad Company, etc, etc, etc,

Movies:

What can I say.....when it comes to movies I'm sorta stuck in black and white. I do like some new movies but AMC and TCM are for me! :)
I've also acted in a couple of major motion pictures as well and still do that work as it comes up.

Television:
