About Me

I have fists of iron, brawn of oxen, and the sharpest of minds and I intend on using them all for the Lord. I am majoring in pure mathematics and especially enjoy limits and sums. I enjoy philosophy and the questions that philosophers have attempted to answer.
I lived in the New Jersey / Pennsylvania region until the age of 10 when my family became missionaries and moved to Ireland. I lived there until I was 17 and then I moved back to the States where I completed my senior year of high school. I spent the summer's of 2003 - 2006 at Harvey Cedars Bible Conference where I made many friends and good times bad times and then I had my fill. My parents then returned to Ireland and I moved into my aunt and uncle's house and roomed with my cousin Micah where the Amish were made slaves, the country lovers were slayed, and cows were devoured and washed down with 52 oz Slushies all to the sound of 70's and 80's rock music. My family returned once again to the land of free/home of brave where my father took the pulpit at Grace Calvary Church and is now preaching the Word of God. Shortly upon arriving in Barnegat I was challenged in the art of Mortal Kombat, found my permanent marker, and the glorious headband of tropical punch goodness was placed upon my head. After a glorious summer the change of seasons brought seperation and a shrine to Alexander Bell. I was declared a Lumberjack and from that moment on was known as Mighty Oak. Only the sweet temperment of my Lumberjacket could soothe the beast within.
I am a computer/video game/anime/sci-fi nerd. Yes, that's a lot of nerd. I absolutely love listening to music (especially in vinyl format) and enjoy rocking out to all types from Bach to Boston (See my music section for more). I enjoy watching anime and I am heavily involved with fansubbers and bringing Japanese animation to the West. I love the hair styles of the seventies and eighties. I have a deep love for food but I do not enjoy cooking. I like to solve problems but only if they have never been solved before, the answer is not public knowledge or easily obtained, or if the process of obtaining the answer is not shown (the process is more important than the answer). I am a heartless problem solver and can easily offend while in the process of solving a life problem. I am always finding new ways to make a profit and I would become a billionaire if money interested me. Power will always be my greatest temptation. I have rebelled against religion, nationalism, and this world and have replaced them with YHVH.
I have a great distaste for lazy spellers, websites that are unreadable and confusing, directions without diagrams, full screen DVDs, weak storytelling, people who apologize for being themselves, televised sports, professors who talk a lot about nothing, people that describe themselves as random (if you weren't random, you would be a computer), overcomplicated instructions, modern rap music (beats about butts, boobs, and "street cred"), poorly interpreted subtitles, unneeded running processes, and poor stewards.
My entire view of romantic love can be summed up in one video. I want to be a luring cartoon man.
My Mark on the Internet
Lucky's Xanga : My favorite waste of time and home to many more family members.
Lucky's Wiki : I don't use it anymore, but there's a sweet link on there about my third summer at HCBC.
Lucky's Myspace : I only use it to leave people messages since there isn't anything else to it.
Lucky's Flickr : My new favorite waste of time that motivates me to take fun pictures.

My Interests

World domination, babies, whether life converges or diverges, solving problems, understanding people better, and hair.

I'd like to meet:

More weirdos.

This is a good representation of my friends.

Please use the box below to leave me comments. Thanks!

Music:

I tend to cycle over different styles of music. I usually begin with classic rock, then I slowly begin to substitute that with classic and modern progressive rock, and then I drift into a period of Jazz and Blues, this quickly subsides and I go through a brief but vigorous time of Baroque and Classical which then leads back into classic rock.

There are many bands that are continually being replayed on my computer or record player but the ones that will always find a place in my heart are: Boston, Cat Stevens, Daft Punk, dc Talk, Five Iron Frenzy, Interpol, Kansas, Led Zeppelin, John Lennon, Mars Ill, mewithoutYou, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Rush, Sufjan Stevens, thebandwithnoname, Under the Influence of Giants, The Who, Yes, and Yoko Kanno & the Seatbelts.

I also like to dance.

...and rock to the guitar bite.

Movies:

Besides the Star Wars Trilogy, are there really any other movies out there?

Television:

I once used to watched television every night. The sound of laughter could be heard through the floorboards of the parsonage in Phillipsburg. Mighty laughter. We made no apologies, our laughter was curing cancer. On the rare occasion that I watch TV I like a little Cowboy Bebop, Death Note, Nodame Cantabile, Futurama, Knight Rider, Star Trek, TNG, That '70s Show, Keeping Up Appearances, Fawlty Towers, Good Neighbors, and Last of The Summer Wine. But nobody like to watch tele alone.

Books:

My Bible is my number one source for wisdom and direction. It also has some great books that also have some solid entertainment value. I enjoy reading sci-fi and fantasy novels. I like reading about history and I especially enjoy novels about Hitler, Nazism, and the events leading up to the Irish Revolution.

Heroes:

The Lord Jesus Christ for conquering sin, Ronald Reagan for telling General Secretary Gorbachev to "Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!", Darth Vader for finally realizing his mistake and destroying the Emperor while still disciplining his son for striking him, Optimus Prime for saving all of mankind(Thanks Prime!), and General Tso and his wonderful chicken.
