Breze was born and raised on the west side of Chicago. His surroundings were literally straight out of a scene in New Jack City. Drugs, alcohol, violence, gang banging and hustling were a part of everyday life; even in his own household. As a youngster growing up in such a negative environment, Breze, along with his closest cousin Jimmy, found his escape through basketball and hip hop. There were times when he was torn between succumbing to the lure or the streets and choosing a better path. When, at the age of 14, Breze’s cousin Jimmy was hit by a drunk driver in the LeClaire Court Projects, he decided then and there that he do whatever it took to be a better person. After this devastating loss, Breze promised himself that he would do whatever it took to get his family out of poverty. In 2000 Breze was recruited for Varsity Basketball by an NCAA Universtiy located in the Chicago land area. Here he met his roommate and best friend, who shared the same vision he did.Breze has lived and breathed Hip-Hop ever since. Over the last two years he has independently distributed over 10,000 mix-tapes and gained a massive web presence. After years of grinding city to city, Breze finally landed a major independent contract with an up-and-coming label “Circus Music Group†based out of Arizona. His first project is set to be released in the Fall of 2009 entitled “Let’s Get Acquainted.†Breze is scheduled to appear on the biggest college tour of the year, as well as major performances in Vegas, with several fresh faces in music.Charisma, natural talent, and an exciting stage presence have managed to gain Breze a constantly growing fan base. His lyrical ability, street style, and poster boy looks guarantee that he will be a hit in the hip-hop industry.
