Reading--Theology,current political events. The major sports--Big Football and Baseball fan (Dallas Cowboys-NFL, Oklahoma Sooners-College, LA Dodgers, Don't really have a favorite NBA team but I love to watch college basketball and the pros as well. I enjoy going to the beach with my family, and getting to know people.
Proabably too many to mention
First of all, on the new front, check out Phil Wickham, Mat Kearney and Rocco Delucca--three new artists that are really good. I really love all types of music, but mainly I listen to Christian music and rock (alternative-pop). Rich Mullins, Andrew Peterson, Jeremy Camp, Derek Webb,Darby Hughes, and so many more Christian artists; U2 will always be incredible and the Counting Crows are probably my favorite of all time that are not Christian. Adam Duritz can just flat out write. Of course I still love the "classic rock" like Zeppelin, the Eagles, etc.
I don't like horror/slasher movies. I love epic movies like Braveheart, Gladiator, etc. My wife and I watch a lot of comedies and dramas and my wife is so great that she will watch the action ones with me. Favorite movies: Braveheart, Tombstone, Field of Dreams,A Few Good Men, Shawshank Redemption, Superman: The Movie(w/Christopher Reeve),Remember the Titans, Grosse Pointe Blank, It's A Wonderful Life, Back to the Future, Tommyboy, and pretty much anything with Will Ferrell! Favorite Actors: Denzel Washington, John Cusack, Mel Gibson
We watch Lost, Grey's Anatomy,24,Heroes,and How I Met Your Mother(Hilarious) faithfully. The Office is also now one of my favorites. Arrested Development was the best comedy in years that no one knew about-it was great. If you haven't seen it, go buy the DVD's and enjoy. Finally, SNL skits featuring Will Ferrell--COMIC GENIUS.
Once again there are so many. The Bible. Anything by J.I. Packer and John Piper. G.K. Chesterson, Puritan writers such as Richard Baxter, etc. Their writings have really impacted my life. Really I just love good writing that challenges us and draws us closer to Christ. Books that cause us to evaluate what we are doing with our lives and how we might make a difference in this world for Christ. I don't really read alot of fiction, however, Sarah reads enough fiction for the both of us.
Obviously my Savior, Jesus Christ. All of our tremendous and courageous troops who sacrifice their all for our great country--thank you! My mom and dad who showed me so much of what life is all about. Sarah, who is really everything to me. She is everything I could have hoped for in life.
