Glass Camels

Psychedelic Southern Groove Tunes!

About Me

The Glass Camels play music that is inspired by the 30 year musical journey taken by the Grateful Dead. With ever changing set lists and an emphasis on improvisation, the listener can count on each show to have it's own special and memorable moments. Their expertise is not limited to Dead music, however. They also blend elements of New Orleans funk, bluegrass, country, blues, jazz, and rock into a style that is uniquely their own. Every tune is interpreted through the musical kaleidoscope the band has created from their 17 years of experience as North Florida's premier jam band. The line up includes: Dave Hendershott: Vocals, Guitar Pete Skenesky: Drums Chris Zosel: percussion Michael Pearson: Guitar, Vocals Ed Richardson: Bass Bryan Homan: Pedal Steel James Syfrett: keyboards. vocals The Glass Camels have shared the stage with a number of nationally touring performers. A partial list includes: Merle Saunders, Vassar Clements, Donna The Buffalo, Ancient Harmony, Col. Bruce Hampton, David Gans, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Foghat, The Other Ones, Peter Rowan and Ziggy Marley. They are also regularly featured at the Magnolia Festival in Live Oak, Florida. For booking information, email [email protected] or leave a message here.
