About Me

That’s it kids, Rune are over. Aside from maybe one last gig, that’s it. The entire Slow Machines EP is now up for download. No point in hiding it at the back of a cupboard for no-one to hear. We only recorded 6 songs. But we had fun doing it.
We will all be doing musical things though.
The Antikythera Machina contains 3 of the four members of Rune, taking the experiences of this band to the next level. (www.myspace.com/theantikytheramachina)
Alistair has begun work on some acoustic stuff, and we’ll give you a link to that when there is one.
We all will be working together hopefully, In a neat little project, as yet untitled, which will be Us, and whoever else turns up on the night (most likely people in bands we’ve made friends with) to write, record and mix a song or two. When we have enough, and can get everyone together, have a huge gig. Could be fun. Check it out: www.myspace.com/sessions08
Thanks to everyone we played with, came to support us, bought a cd, or gave us a good review.
This is the end, but this page and our music will long survive it.
Goodnight
Review of us at the recent T-Break Heat:
"...refused to be demoralised by the empty mass in front of the stage and continued to throw every ounce of sweat into a powerful set. Their determination resulted in an incredible finale which made the stay until the bitter end worthwhile."
Words by Steve McCaul
And from the judges themselves?
"...The judges commented that Rune showed real promise and that the band is particularly inventive in (their) genre..."
We were a band from Glasgow, Scotland.
We are no longer looking for gigging opportunities throughout the UK, though we may do one last Glasgow gig.
If you would like to book us or just get in contact you’re too late. But check out The Antikythera Machina. (www.myspace.com/theantikytheramachina)
Rune’s music is what it is, and will be what it was. If you enjoyed it, thats a bonus.

Thoughts

1. Myspace is full of sluts, who if you try and talk to them are so self-obsessed that they don't need to reply.2. The current state of rock and metal can be compared to a toddler. Being as loud as it...
