About Me

The first time I had ever seen bboying was when I was 6 years old watching old school bboys dancing from Valdivia a Crew that was called 'Simbolos de la Calle' who's leader was Jamie Borquez never knowing that he would be my maestro many years later when I first started bboying a month before my 16th birthday. He took me under his wing and he taught me foundation and most importantly teaching me how to become original and be persevering. My first lesson from him was... Don't do what we do....be yourself...and advance without worrying about my limitations (my disability because of my legs). By not having propulsion and stability physically (because of the difference of my body) in order to dance and doing basic power moves, freezes and tops. The only way to do basic moves was to create my own technique and moves in a manner so that I could complement what was impossible if I were to use techniques used by normal bboys (I had to find a unique form that only I could use) in order to complement my disability in the initial stages. This is when I converted my disability into an ability by find ways to do things differently and not doing what other bboys do. Some how I found a way to be creative and create my own moves with some help of bboys like Jamie, Pipo, and Angui and the rest of my crew Party Part.I started learning in December 2002 and my first event battle was for Sudaka (South American Championship elimination for Southern Chile) in August 2003 with my crew - Party Part. We had only formed a crew with novice bboys and had been together for 7 months. We came in 5th place out of 22 crews in total representing Southern Chile. I won best bboy for that event. Later that year I participated in a project called Callejeando which was a government Fondart project in 2003 that consisted of presenting a choreography with 10 of the best bboys who made a casting for the project in the city of Valdivia; which mixed contemporary dance and bboying. 'Callejeando' was recognized at a national level by expert dance companies in Chile. In 2004 I had participated in Crew battles and national dance company events in Carahue, Concepción, Valparaiso, and Santiago. Also in 2004 Party Part bboys won best choreography in elimination event for Sudaka representing the south of Chile and won against 18 crews. We went on to pass for the Final event for Sudaka later in December 2004 Party Part came in 5 place against South American Crews. Participated in Buenos Dias a todos (TVN National Television) morning show. Mecano a youth television show. Invación (Chile Vision Television) a daily program that shows sports and events for teenagers. UCV Television in a extreme sports program. In 2005 I participated as a judge in Various Events some of them were. Regional Coyhaique, Judge Elimination Rounds for Sudaka Extreme South Chile (Coyhaique), Judge for South American Bboying Championship Sudaka Finals (La Serena), Judge for 7th Encuentro de La Calle 2005 (Santiago), Judge for National Freestyle (Santiago). In December 2005 my crew won 'Calle Calle' battle in Valdivia. In 2006 participated in a National Event in Iquique 'Bboys o Muertos' as Judge January 2006, In April 2006 participated in 'Esencial' Buenos Aires, Argentina and won best bboy in individuals and was a judge for crew battles. I participated in battles in Mendoza, Argentina and won best bboy and entered in crew battles taking 2nd place. In April 2006 I participated as Judge for 'King of the breakdance' in La Serena, Chile. May 2006 I participated in Crew battles for 4th Annual Competition in San José with Parti Part bboys and won first place..... ect.... I'm presently starting to teach breaking and I'm starting a a new crew to take over for Party Part made up of bboys between 10 and 15 years of age. They have advanced very quickly and I am proud of them!
