About Me

Well, if you're looking at my page, you should know the general story of me. :) So I'll just add a few updates to bring you up to speed. I returned to DE after school and LOVE living at the beach. I am a speech-language pathologist and work with adults, primarily stroke and head injury patients. I really enjoy what I do and feel lucky that I've always known that this is the career I wanted to have. Not married, no kids. Just the kitten. I've been dating Lance for a while now and things are wonderful. It's a wonder our lives didn't overlap before....but good things come to those who wait!

My Interests

I like to be busy. If I sit for too long, I'm liable to fall asleep! :) I like going to the beach, dancing, shopping... I also am a kid at heart. I enjoy old school fun like bowling, roller skating, bbq's, get together games, etc.

I'd like to meet:

I hope to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Delaware is too small and too boring in the off season to not look for new faces.

Music:

Anything that Burnt Sienna plays!!! (crazy game of poker, country roads, the killers, anything and everything!) Spoiled by XM. I mostly listen to channels 8, 9, 17, 20-22, & 30. I really like Jack Johnson. 80's music of course, and early 90s too. And mixes made by friends (i.e., Eileen's Gangster Girls Mix; Renee's Sleepy Time CD, San Diego Mix)

Television:

I'm a little bit addicted to some shows: 24, Prison Break. I also like: House, CSI, Family Guy. On a lazy, rainy Saturday afternoon, I hate to admit it, but you might find me watching reality shows on MTV. :) Lance has got me interested in some British stuff -- MI-5 mostly.

Books:

I usually choose a magazine at the gym or beach over a book. When I do read one, though, I tend to go for something by Nicholas Sparks. I've been reading Bob Woodruff's book this summer.

Heroes:

My mom -- it takes a strong, smart, resourceful woman to raise 3 children on her own. My Nana -- how in the world did she do it all?

Goodbye Nana, you are loved

It breaks my heart to say that my Nana, Kitty Hopkins, died Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 4:22 a.m. I still can't truly believe it's happened. Reading her obituary yesterday was surreal......
