In an era in Dallas’ hip-hop scene, where it is becoming increasingly harder to tell one artist, or one song from another, one up and coming star stands out amongst the common Lone Star contenders. Blessed with acuminous lyrical dexterity and driven by raw gut and emotion WickedMindState breeds a new element in the genetic make up of Texas hip-hop.

Born Jason Sanders on February 22, 1982, in Dallas Texas, Jason, PKA (Professionally known as) WickedMindState displayed many talents early on. A highly skilled drawer, designer (fashion, graphics), writer and producer, Wicked is a modern day renaissance man and a formidable force to others in the music industry.
“Drawing was my first love, it always will be. I got into rapping to draw, but with words.
I love words, I love how they form images in your mind so vividly, and I love how you can toy with them and arrange them. I am art, I love to do anything that allows me to create and be creative.â€
More recently, Wicked has taken on photography and producing records.
Producing hits for The Camp Records, such as “Stay Flyâ€, “South Gone Hold It Downâ€
“2 Da Yard†and “Off Wit’ Ya Head†the Oak Cliff native, proves to be an all around musical talent.
“Killa “K†inspired me to start making beats, once I got the hang of it, I fell in love with it. I’m doing photography on the side, once I get the hang of it, I’ll step my game up.â€
WickedMindState is one of the driving forces behind The Camp Records, an independent label made up of the best artist in Dallas. The Camp is currently working on an album, due to be out in March of 2008.
Following The Camp’s release, Wicked will be dropping his solo album “The Cure†set to come out mid to late 2008.
