Surfing Packages

Students of AQUA SURF find our packages as a popular way to make a good commitment to the sport of surfing.

This includes three surfing sessions where you get a rapid introduction to the basics. You will learn elementary skills such as paddling, standing on the surf board, important safety techniques and being comfortable in the water. This great package is priced at $285.
This includes six surfing sessions plus more time to develop intermediate ocean skills. For example, you learn proper etiquette, how to ride glassy waves, turning techniques and appreciation for the ocean. Start to taste the surfing lifestyle and philosophy with the intro package for only $520.
This includes nine surfing sessions plus insider information on advanced techniques, such as paddling, catching the wave smoothly and turning. Also, you can plan on trips to more intermediate locations such as Malibu or Venice. Do you want to master the experience of surfing and lay the ground work for yourself to catch wave after wave? Then the VIP package comes highly recommended for you, at an amazing price of $730.

Group Surf Class

Surf Camps

Question How old do you have to be to go to surf camp?
Answer At AQUA SURF camp, we generally teach students from 6 to 17. If some kids in your family are outside this age range and you'd like them all learn together, we can make special arrangements just ask.
Question What are the camp times and dates?
Answer AQUA SURF camps run Monday - Friday (9am - 3pm) June through early September. Rescheduling is possible, usually due to safety reasons (such as last years' epic "Jellyfish Migration.")
QuestionWhere exactly is AQUA SURF camp?
Answer We surf in Southern California, sunny Santa Monica Beach, to be exact. We're easily accessible and less than ten miles from LAX.
Question Which levels can AQUA SURF camp accommodate?
Answer Anyone! From complete beginners to advanced big wave riders, we welcome all kids to train with us. At AQUA SURF all have a chance to become true groms (surf kids)!
Question How many weeks do you recommend?
Answer Remember what it felt like to be a kid with the whole summer in front of you? How much would you have enjoyed a summer at AQUA SURF camp? It's hard to say exactly which of the many fun parts of surf camp your kids will remember the most, but we are sure there will be enough memories for great 'back to school' stories.
Question What does a day of AQUA SURF camp include?
AnswerSix full hours of AQUA SURF instruction and all the necessities: the right surfboards for learning, clean wetsuits, healthy snacks (fruits, coconuts, etc.), and safe shade time (relaxing under an umbrella or canopy to give the body some rest from the powerful sun.) We also play volleyball, football, tag, soccer, 'toss the coconut' and other fun games. Depending on the group, we will play different games and do different activities such as dancing, martial arts, or yoga/stretch. Could a day at the beach get any better?
Question What is the student to instructor ratio?
AnswerFor the best possible instruction, we dedicate one instructor to every three or four students. If a student needs one-on-one attention we can accommodate that too - just ask us.
Question Why is making a reservation online so important? I thought you guys were laid-back surf types.
Answer Yes, as surfers, we are relaxed and enjoy 'going with the flow'. But guaranteeing the best possible surfing experience for our students takes advanced notice and organization. When you pay online and reserve a date at you will be certain of your place on our priority list of confirmed students. It would be a shame to have to tell you that the week you'd like is booked, especially if it is your only time in California. To avoid disappointment, reserve your place on our list of campers for up to two seasons of surf camp - you can book 2007, 2008, or both. To make absolutely sure that your paid reservation is complete, look for an instant PayPal e-mail with a transaction number. If you haven't received this e-mail within five minutes of booking, simply go to the sign up link on the bottom of the page to pay - and have your reservation set in stone! Our experience shows that when people reserve online, 99.9% of the time it just works out better for everyone.

The action of moving your arms through water by repeated strokes. Pushing Up:
Moving the surf board down as your body moves up. This action gets you through the white water part of the wave. Pop Up:
Jumping or sliding up on your surf boards' sweet spot. Turtle Roll:
Grabbing the sides of your surf board with both hands and turning it upside down. Covering Your Heads:
To use your arms to cover your head and face when wiping out.Shuffling:

so basically i am obsessed with the west coast ocean (because of the dolphin) and surfing (although I hardly know how) but yeah...so much fun because of you guys! Can't wait til Sunday! 6 days is way too long to wait for the next lesson!

Just wanted to say what's up, and tell anyone reading that these guys are a class act. Katie is adorable and a great teacher, I got up for two waves my first time out, even if I was exhausted. I have no problem catching waves now, and next time I'm out in Cali. I'll be surfing again no doubt.

Heyy!! Not sure about this summer, probably not, in which case definately next summer! Actually we have the pleasure of hosting Amy and Kaya this week.... lots of fun, if not a little hectic.
Are there many other londoners? Of what ages? Unlikely ill know them, but always a chance...
Hows the surf going? Obviously not surf or surf weather here, but we've been trying to leave the house whenever its not pissing down. Unusual occurance.
Have a great Easter, eat chocolate and bunnies and eggs.
