About Me

started playing the recorder in elementary......(I heard that musicians were a hot commodity with the ladies in elementary.....especially playing a cool instrument like the recorder!!!!!) Started playing the Saxophone in high school.......(It was the only class that I could consistantly make 90's!!!!!) Started playing bass in around 1986 or 87 (actually my first band was with my current guitar player Tony Leudy) Started learning to play piano on my own at home around 1988 Played Saxophone and bass in the jazz band, jazz choir (ummm..ssshhhh...don't tell anybody about the jazz choir......I have a reputation to keep), and various other concerts and musical productions. Was part of the "house band" for all of the high school concerts throughout our high school years (and was even asked back after graduating to help out on some concerts!!!) Started playing the bars (can't remember the exact time period of this.......I'm thinking somewhere around 1990 when I first started playing. The first band was "Road House". Band changed a few faces and became "Big Tyme" Began playing with the band "IMI" (again a little cloudy of the exact date......I think it was around 1994.) Moved away and stopped playing live gigs for several years and really picked up playing accoustic guitar. While away, I worked in a recording studio "Surround Sound Studios" in Pictou. Moved back home in 2002 and started doing some filling in gigs with IMI (Allan was the only original musician) Got the call from Robert Barrie in 2003 to start "The Buzz" with two other original IMI members (Al and Tone). And here we are!!!!!

Influences: hhmmmmmmmm.........that's a hard one!!!! I like soooo many bands and sooo many different types of music. Brian Adams, Bon Jovi, Boston, Kiss, of course there's the country half in me that loves stuff like Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, Dixie Chicks, Toby Keith, Lone Star.......I love Phil Vassar and Caroline Don Johnson....They are great songs writers and performers...........I love alot of the newer stuff on the radio too..........I could probably go on forever here so maybe i'll shutup.
