"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved."
Helen Keller My best friend once described me as "one of those rare, truly bubbly people who are so happy they make you happy as well." To this day, it's one of the best compliments I have ever received because it's just so me I never know what to write in this space. Well what can I say... I'm Brianna. My friends call me Brie, Banana, Blondie or just 'hey you'. I hail from the not-so-small-anymore town of Tracy and I now call Dixon home. I'm 26 years old - I know! Almost 30! - and I live with my three cats, Molly, Lucy and Sammy. After more than seven years of college, I finally graduated in 2008 from California State University, Sacramento. I'm the editor of a small town newspaper and I'm one of those lucky people who can honestly say they love and enjoy their job. Journalism has been my passion and drive since I was 12 and it is so rewarding to be able to do what I love everyday. I meet wonderful people and tell amazing stories. It's a lot of fun! I'd love to someday write features for a national magazine. If you know anything about me and my writing, you know it's the features I adore. So a little about me. I'm very loud and I love to laugh. Consider yourself warned because it's hard to find peace and quiet when you are around me. I'm very laid back and I enjoy spending evenings at home with my cats as much as I like going out with friends. I'm not into the nightlife scene but I adore karaoke bars. I'm a very positive person and in my eyes, the glass is always half-full. I have my own dreams to someday change the world. I try to do my part to make my own community a better place. I volunteer for several Christmas organizations, including my mom's non-profit and of course, the amazing Relay For Life. Remember: it is up to each of us to be the change we want to see. I've been through a lot in the last couple of years and I have discovered how resilient I really am. All of my struggles have made me a stronger person and I am thankful for that. The best show on television: Brothers and Sisters. If you've never seen it, watch on Sunday nights. It will change your life.
