Student/guitarist/producer Nima Moayer started Nimalicious in the Fall of 2002 out of sheer boredom and partial insanity. Formerly a techno producer/DJ known as Raver FX (and under various other monikers), Nima became tired of the lack of originality in the dance music scene and decided to return to his roots of Rap-Rock influenced music. After many sleepless nights of studying at pharmacy school, Nima needed an outlet to vent his frustrations at school, girls, and the world abound. Thus, Nimalicious was born. Soon, Nimalicious wrote his first song about his love for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, "PB & J" which was to become his first single and most well-recieved song among the college masses. Drawing on his eclectic influences of rock, rap, jazz, electronic music, and love for old school cartoons, Nima decided to continue writing and recording his eccentric songs and soon finished his first album in the summer of 2002 entitled "Stupidditties." After much critical acclaim by friends and college mates (and also much critique from the same community), Nimalicious decided to bring on the help of long-time friend and keyboardist, Jason Cooper. With Jason on board, Nimalicious stormed the Rutgers music scene bringing rap, cooky melodies, electric guitars and spaced-out keyboard samples to the college masses. Currently, Nimalicious is working on his 2nd album entitled "Life in General," which he hopes will show a more mature Nimalicious sound while still retaining his idiosyncricisms fans have grown to love.
