Josef Schmid AKA Giovanny has been promoting parties in Austria since 2003. In 2005 he started promoting monthly parties under the name Samsara which are known to be some of the best trance parties in Austria. In 2004 he became the driving force behind the Sunshine Explosion crew which have been producing high quality parties since 1999. Giovanny is highly respected by international artists as a serious and professional promoter.In 2008 Gi_Ovanny made the Trance stage in the Urban Art Forms Festival. It was the first time the UAF ever had a trance stage and Gi_O with his careful selection of great artists set the stage on fire!
Due to his expertise in Trance, in 2009 the opportunity came to make a Trance stage with world renown artists at the Beatpatrol festival. A major international electronic music event.
He is also the founder of the Samsara Festival Austria, which takes place in September 2009 and is attracting major worldwide attention.
In 2005 he decided to start djing under the name dj Gi_O and rarely has a dj ever gained so much respect and support from the public as he did in such a short time. Currently Gi_O is one of the leading Austrian dj..s, playing every weekend all over Austria. Simply put the public love him!
Gi_O has played internationally in Germany,Portugal(Utopia Festival) , Hungary and the list is growing as his taste in music is easily appreciated by most people and is a natural entertainer. It..s always fun when he steps into the dj booth as he..s playful and likes to have a good time with the people.
