Pasting through all the trials and tribulations of life,Banchie Da Ryda(Real name Antone Hampton)remains to stand tall and rise above the average nigga...and thats hard to do in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania. Almost lose his mind after losing his grandmother, his uncle, his childhood brother, and most of his friends in the street life. Banchie was always a unpredicatable child, very rebelious, very temperative, very mysterious, mostly always quiet...you couldnt tell what he was thinking at times, mostly always alone...he always had a problem trusting people. He was an outkast from most kids, most of his family members and friends would say that he was alittle strange or throwed off...a real warlock. He spended most of his childhood doing some normal kid stuff, getting in trouble(like fighting recklessly, robbing people, and law problems)and running with people that was older than him. Respect comes first...getting money is second, thats his motto! He aint one of these niggas who let this rap shit get in his head...this is him!Alot of people assume that he calls himself "Banchie" cause of the bike but as it turns out its for a different reason."When I was 13 years old I started seeing ghosts, angels and demons, you know things from another realm sorta speak. I thought that I was crazy but when my brother Wise died I started seeing his spirit. They also kept me alive all this time, gives me nightmares most nights(sometimes I wake up in a cold sweat), helps my reality triple check fake people, and they been helping my instincts alot so I decided to give in and accept this gift and this curse that god gave me," he says "Im no longer afraid cause I understand what they're doing now." He spits a new form of street poetry called "Ghostpoetry"...Street poetry that floats through the wind and reaches the people deep down the hood, the projects, and the slums to touch their hearts. He dont front about the struggle. He's part of the struggle! At the age of 10 years old he started out writing poetry to release some of the pain and frustration then at 14 moved on to battle raps...won alot because of his unique flow but was still determined to write poetry. He grew up listening to Dmx, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Styles P(or the lox), Beanie Sigel, Mos Def, The fugees, and of course Tupac and Biggie. "My favorite rapper of all-time, and this is the only person that I would listen to his whole album(even the skits)is none other than Dmx because he is a real hood poet," he states,"Its like every time he speaks, he lets his problems all out in his own way like me and drop some knowledge while he's doing it. I wanted to be just like him...real talk!" Banchie been through five rap groups in his life time but he decided to do things on his own."I aint got time for the fake shit," he says,"I've seen what happen to niggas who perpetrate a fraud or try to be something that they not." He proved he was worthy on his first mixtape:Rage and discipline pt.1,spitting about the struggle, his life, and so many others. There will be haters but he's respected by many(even niggas fresh out of jail). This south philly raised,fearless,strong-minded nigga is ready to shake the world with his poetic flow. Get with a ghostly individual and join the movement!
