I loved to sing from a very young age. Music has always been something that has run through my veins... However I was an VERY shy child and was never able to show my true love of singing because of that. I would sing in school plays but of course those were never made for soloists... We were in elementary school and everyone was a star! So I began to express myself through music in a different way. I began playing the violin at age 10 in the school orchestra. By the time i was in middle school i was a violinist in the all-state jr high orchestra. I loved the violin but I still did not have the chance to do what i truely wanted to do. When i was 12 my orchestra teacher came to me with an idea... He wanted to start a Mariachi and wanted me to play the violin with his group (He of course has no idea that i sang). Realizing that this just might be my chance i said yes. The very first day, as we were learning our first song, he said he needed a singer and i jumped at the chance. Now i just had to learn to sing in spanish... I learned to pronounce my words correctly in no time and started performing in school events. By the time high school came around i had stopped playing in orchestra and began to focus on mariachi. It gave me the chance to really develop a strong voice and to learn how to perform in front of crouds both large and small. We were doing at least 3 gigs a week if not more. After I graduated i began to realize that, while i love mariachi, I wanted to begin performing and working on english music. I grew up listeneng to, and singing r&b and soul music and wanted to really begin focusing on that. For the past 3 years I have been focusing on english music. I worked with a couple different producers but didn't find a good match until recently. I am currently working with Da Hitman from Darksyde Entertainment and am learning so much from working with him. I am writing my own songs now and am really able to express what i am feeling in the music. I really hope you like what I am doing and hopefully I earn your support!
