About Me

2007 - While the term is overused and cliche now, I've adopted it as my mantra: UPGRADE. In my world, this means, challenging myself to get to the next level, and eliminating and or reducing situations/people that do not bring me satisfaction or joy.

This also means recognizing the blessings in a bad situation. In other words, squeezing the lemon to make some lemonade.
Lastly, it means appreciating and celebrating the things in life that do bring joy. Right now, this is my family and friends.
I'm that girl that you think is a total dork; however, you come to love my dorkiness b/c you realize that you don't have to try to impress me, or put on some front in front of me. I work hard, I play hard. I volunteer. I like solidarity. I'm self-reliant and self-dependent (notice I didn't say independent). I have trust issues. I have a sensitive digestive system. I don't like being told what to do or how to do it - except sexually (yeah I said it, and what?) I have been called a n*gger before, it's not *that* easy to get over. I like yogurt. I LOVE the waffle house fiesta omlette. I get lonely sometimes. I don't cry often, but I feel pain often. I adore Atlanta. I *heart* my friends. I have good credit. I don't get angry often because I don't love often. You can only be upset at those you truly love; otherwise you shouldn't care.
