Choke On My Words is a Melodic Hardcore band hailing from Monmouth County,
New Jersey. Although they may be young, this band has had their fair share of shows within the central Jersey area, hoping to spread the name. The band started in the late Summer of '06. The founders, Justin Lombardo, and Jerry Brennan, began playing punk covers (terribly), in Lombardo's garage. Around September of '06 they picked up a second guitarist named, Andrew Plitz. During that Fall, the boys became less interested in punk and started to lean more towards the heavier side of music. Becoming, greatly intrigued in the not so metal core anymore band, Atreyu. They went on playing shows at such venues as, The Stone Pony, and other Jersey Shows venues. After realizing hardcore was more their, style, they started playing shows with Catch The Hook Entertainment, which helped them greatly.
Later on, in December of ‘07 COMW found one of the two missing pieces, his name is Jesse McCarthy, and he plays synth/keys. He did not have any idea how to play, but grew alongside the rest of the band. During that Spring, COMW picked up their second “missing pieceâ€. His name is Robbie Anderton, and he plays bass. In the mist of all that COMW had to be recording somewhere. That was in there hometown, of Howell. With an excellent friend, and producer named, Kyle Decker. As sad as it is, “Mr. Kyle†moved out of state leaving COMW to figure their recording situation out. They pondered for a while, then realized they should just make their own studio.
So here we are, 2008 and COMW is fully formed and now recording themselves, always looking out for shows. Their latest song, “Watching The Others Fall†was recorded at Lombardo’s house with their equipment. With the studio not yet completed the boys figured it’d be best to just make it a demo. COMW is still evolving and doing different things to help themselves soar to greatness. I’d like to congratulate you for reading all this. Have a nice day!
