I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

This is how I spent my anniversary:
Living a life of TEMERITY.
My 9 to 5 has me writing programs for the advancement of the automotive industry, but most days I can't wait to get home so I can work on other things. I'm an aspiring musician, graphic designer, and race car driver. To these ends: I'm in a band called Abernathy Road as a songwriter, vocalist, gutiarist, and pianist. We play shows in the LA area whenever we get a chance. I used to do Solo II auto-cross racing as well as bastard-driving in the canyons, but gas prices have kept me from doing much lately. Amidst all of this, I also try to have some semblance of a social life. I guess you could say my plate is always full, but that doesn't mean I don't make room for the people who mean the most to me.
I'm kind of a defiant bastard. I like to drive to the beach on a whim with a wine bottle to drink right next to the sign that says "no alcoholic beverages."
My Social Observations:
You have to be willing to fail.
Success has a lot less to do with how hard you work or how smart you are, but more to do with having the balls to take a leap that might cause you to fall on your face with the hopes that you might fly instead.

My Interests

Whatever distraction I feel like today. Work out? Photo shoot? Bar hop? How about killing brain cells watching TV, movies, and draining the wine collection?

I'd like to meet:

Anybody who's got something to say.

My Blog

New Year's in Norcal

With the new year, I usually have some kind of annual retrospective insight, but instead I thought in 2007 I'd start out with my vacation summary.  This is a big contrast over complaining about r...

A Day in the Life

PROLOGUE: Whether it's in a book, newspaper, or even a blog, no matter how verbose a story sounds, the storyteller still probably left out a shitload of seemingly insignificant details for the sake of...

Bowling

There's something poetic about the pinsetter at the end of the bowling alley. All day long, no matter how shitty a frame is, even if it's a gutterball, the pinsetter will still meticulously reset and...

How Sinful I am

Yeah yeah, not all of my blogs are deep and meaningful.  Some of them are a completely different form of time wasting.  Filling out the survey on the link below revealed the obvious; I've be...

Equations of Attraction: Part II

Granted, like my most of my blogs, I wrote "Part I" at some rediculous time of night -- it wasn't until days later that I had a chance to go back and read what I wrote.  I was prompted to rethink...

Equations of Attraction

While I let my Patron shot do its work, I'll start with a preface. Many friends of mine know my rant on equations of attraction, but when sitting down to write about it, I really wanted to take my tim...

Definition of Power

Am I powerful? I can't rip a phone book with my bare hands, and probably not even with mechanical assistance.  I can't punch through a stack of bricks, or even a single brick for that matter.&nb...

Mystique

My ultimate piece of advice for anyone is to find a happiness that doesn't involve other human beings.  This has led me to my car hobby, which only requires a full tank of gas to bring me a smile...
