I have always thought that I would love to meet musicians I have admired all my life, like Silvio Rodriguez, Juan Luis Guerra, Paul Simon, Paul McCartney, Bono, but the truth is I don't think I would have much to say. It feels like I know them so well through their music. I would probably try pulling out a guitar and writing a little song with them. I enjoy seeing them in concert. I wish I could have seen legends like Roy Orbison, Elvis, Freddy Mercury.
I love musicians who dare to always push the limits, who dare to explore areas where they are putting themselves to the test, at risk. Going out of their confort zone. Voices - Caetano Veloso, Roy Orbison, Freddy Mercury, Bono, Thom Yorke.
Hable con ella is wonderful and so is Casablanca. Kuberik, Almodovar, Lynch. I discover jewels all the time. Film as both art, but also just entertainment. A good laugh, a great story. The Princes Bride is the perfect film for the kid in me.
When I want to laugh, Seinfeld, Simpsons. Don't usually have the time. I watched alot as a kid.
There is a lifetime supply of good books out there waiting to be read. I have a huge list that grows by the minute. I read Emotional Intelligence and was blown away by all the stuff I didn't know about myself. A friend recommended The Power of Now, which I will devour when it arrives. Kurt Vannegut and Roald Dahl are wonderful. I love reading film scripts and plays as well.
