DJ Tsunami knew from the first time he heard electronic music, he had found his calling. Introduced to the genre by pioneers such as Prodigy and The Crystal Method, he slowly began to expand his knowledge of this newly discovered sound. When a friend bought a set of turntables, the two began to play around with them, although they had not a clue what they were doing. Upon getting equipment of his own, Tsunami began to practice religiously, teaching himself how to mix, scratch and become a well-rounded DJ. When the time was right, he slowly began to emerge into the Chicago scene, playing underground gigs, parties, and small shows at local venues. Now an established Chicago DJ, Tsunami continues to grow as a performer, and has developed a style that is all his own. After sharing the stage with national and worldwide talent such as Bad Boy Bill, Kevin Rudolph, Rabbit In The Moon, Pittsburgh Slim, Granite & Phunk, DJ Skribble, Steve Smooth & JJ Flores, Mikey Swift And DJ Irene, And playing countless shows at top-notch midwest nightclubs, 2009 has already been a monumental year for Tsunami.
