Babes In Jazzland

Babes In Jazzland is an eleven-piece all girl jazz ensemble who are either in school or graduates of music programs. Jazz singers Sophia Perlman, Elizabeth Shepherd, Janelle Monique, Marieve Herington and Genevieve are backed by Ashley Wey on piano, Lauren Falls on acoustic bass, Christine Bougie on guitars, Jasmine Jones on drums, Shelkah Francis on alto sax and Amy Medvick on flute. As Genevieve is currently singing in a posh hotel in Shanghai, Amy also doubles as a vocalist when the ten gals perform live. These gals are blasting out jazz standards, originals and pop songs revamped. Marieve and Elizabeth have solo CDs out now, and it wont be long for others to follow suit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
