MPV Sound is a Turku -Based reggae-soundsystem nowadays functioning from the capital area of Finland. MPV is an abbreviation of Finnish word Metsäpalovaara meaning Forest Fire Danger.
Our selection is a mix of the latest culture and dancehall to groovy rocksteady and the hot hot digital 80..s dancehall. Also live versions and dubplates are always present at MPV sessions. Our mission is to level the vibes upright and positive every session we play. We build it riddim by riddim, tune by tune. MPV Sound won the Finnish Soundclash Championships 2005 and was one point far from the trophy at 2007. Andor has been going to Jamaica a couple of times for longer stays and has cut a nice set of dubplates to ammo the sound.
MPV Sound MC Nestori is also performing with two finnish bands: The Suhinators and Fi-Reggae All Stars. Studio Red released his "Vuorilla on maa" 7" with The Suhinators and Intergalaktik Sound released the UK roots style single" "Leave It To Jah" at 2007.
