Johnny was born John Lewis McGowan on April 30 1956 in Dayton Ohio His Parents are John and Louise McGowan of Cleveland Tn .He has two sisters, Connie Merritt and Teresa Vincent. he is blessed with three children, Kelli, Christopher, and Amanda. His New wife Jeannie also adds to the family with a son Mark.Johnny began his musical career at the innocent age of 3 by performing in front of a small home-town audience. He Formed his first band at the age of 12 and continued to improve his musical talent through his teens while attending Trotwood High School in Ohio.In his early twenties he toured the United States as Johnny Eagle, the award-winning Elvis Impersonator performing and meeting such artists as Jerry Reed, Bobby Goldsboro, Andy Williams, Michael Jackson Ed Ames, Marvin Gay Mother's Finest, and the Jackson Five. He frequented clubs across the U.S. from Atlanta to Las Vegas.While touring, Johnny named his band J.A.B. (short for Just Another Band ),and in February 1999, he ventured forth as Johnny McGowan and set aside the impersonation and began his career as himself.Johnny performed and won Star Search on February 14,1999 which brought him to Nashville.
