Sounds Like: Run Down Door "pop punk ska"
"A bouncy vibrant 6 piece oozing potential. Mixing meaningful and politically infuriated lyrics with bouncy ska and thrash punk changes the experience completely. A great live band that love what they do and show their love, appreciation and respect of a seemingly dying genre" -- Doug, Funky Octopus Promotions
Undercover Review - Run Down Door
29th August - The Junction
"In the field using the guise of Kill Time I stuck around for the next act on stage after us, Run Down Door. The band in short are a Ska-Punk outfit armed with two guitarists, a sax player and a trumpet playing lead vocalist. I have always been somewhat skeptical of bands in this genre as it has been somewhat saturated ever since the rise of 'Reel Big Fish' and other acts like 'The Slackers' and 'The Dead 60's', however this band I was pleased to watch. They managed to keep the crowd interested and worked a few covers into the set of which i unfortunately do not know the names of. But notable original songs include 'Alco Dad' and 'Breakdown' all with great skankability. Enjoyable." -- A Waste Of Space
Alco Dad EP Comments:
"The Alco Dad ep is now certainly dated as it depicts the old style of RDD. Short, ska pop songs with great danceability. The 5 track ep consists of the first songs out of the RDD camp and it can easily be seen how the band evolved after a year together. The ep is in "chronological" order if you like, with the first song on the ep the first song the band ever wrote and the last being the last song wrote. The last two songs (Voice... and society...) are a lot more grown up and put a more mature understanding of alcoholism and voicing opinions than the earlier songs. A good effort. A full length is eagerly awaited"
