Once upon a time, in a far away land…translation…Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania…a little girl with big brown eyes and hardly any hair was born. She began dancing at the age of 4, and aspired to be a Prima Ballerina…but then reality hit, and years later, she maxed out way over the 85 lb. weight limit!! During her highly imaginative childhood, she was constantly planning different kinds of shows…dance recitals…plays…musicals…you name it, and it was on her list. She would cut up the red gingham curtains that hung in her bedroom, and sew costumes together that she would make her younger and smaller cousins and neighborhood children to wear. They were forced to rehearse for these “elaborate†productions…and then performance day would come…. The shows would take place in the back yard of her Keystone Drive home, and in front of an audience of 2 or 3 parents that weren’t busy cooking dinner….Ah…those were the days…those silly silly days!!
Uuummmmm…Okay…no really…I was always planning something as a child…I can’t deny it. My poor parents and friends!! Oh well!! Sucks to be them!!
When I matured…only a little…I began doing musical theatre. I became heavily involved throughout highschool, and then some…with all of the local theatre groups in my area. I started becoming more focused on the singing thing, and began vocal training…I studied Italian opera for about 7 years… My interest grew beyond performing, and into all of the other aspects of production. I started choreographing, directing, and designing costumes (I love to sew!!) and sets. I had a blast!!
So after endless dreaming, and loads of acceptance as an artist and, of course, the expected rejection, I decided I had to take the chance and just go for it…so I packed my belongings and my mommy and daddy shipped me off to the Big Apple!! I think they were glad to get rid of me…nah…maybe not… Anyway…I studied acting with Stella Adler studios and also with Michael Howard Studios. Then I met an amazing songwriter/producer by the name of Tommy Faragher, and we’ve been working together ever since…writing and recording…it’s been AWESOME!! I never thought I could write music, but with a little self encouragement, and a journal always by my side, writing has become very natural for me!! Turns out, I’ve got a hell of a lot to say!! It’s all about the journal…it’s become my confidante…well…next to my little doggy, Kosta…but I’m sure he thinks I’m a little crazy!! So that’s me in a nut shell…okay…maybe I did leave out a few juicy details…you have to leave some to the imagination…I just tried to keep it interesting!!!
