The STDs (2003-2007)

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 Since late 2003 a group of friends have come together to share a passion that has taken over countless days of their lives. While joining separate universities as freshmen in September 2006, The STD’s dedicate their life off school to constantly writing, performing, and promoting their music, in the hopes of a musical career in the near future. Independently releasing their debut EP in November 2004 named "You've Got STD's", Septic Tank Disasters gained an increasing fan base across the GTA gaining them a tremendous reputation throughout Ontario. Hundreds of copies have been sold to date, and were available through all HMV and Sam the Record Man stores in Canada. On March 25, 2006, the boys co-headlined the 8th annual Punks Against Racism show, and also released their newest EP, “The Last Word.” Reaching 450 copies sold in the first week of its release (without distribution), The Last Word truly shows the evolution and maturity of the band’s musical progression. Co-produced by acclaimed sound engineer Jamie Howieson (The Specials, Sublime, Sum 41, Sex Pistols, etc) this record has already brought astonishment to their fans and their hometown alike. It is with this truly unique sound that makes The STDs a force to be reckoned with. With a backbone of ska, The STDs have successfully incorporated several other musical genres such as: rock, psychedelic, punk, ambient, and even heavy metal, which make their music accessible to anyone’s musical taste.
