About Me



"The Weekend Breaks" aka Steve and Darragh. formed in mid 2008 to produce electro breaks to drum and base. with musical roots and influences from 80's HipHop, oldskool 1990 1 2 style hardcore, early Jungle and Drum n Base, mix this with a load of British 80's electro punk and acid house wid extra acid.

Steve a producer by trade and Darragh a DJ by nature. teh guys first met in 2000 working on a remix project for a band Darragh was working with. the two struck up a friendship and collaborated on many other projects over the next few years. Between them the duo been working with the likes, The Dream Team, Steve Jackson, Keith Thompson, Marshal Jefferson and even David Bowie, (however he was never actuality ever in the some room as them).. having had to dealing with most of the Major labels, TV and Radio stations. But now they have embarked on a there own path....

So, about a month ago we ware asked to do a remix for a band called Honey Ryder..  Its was a real down tempo and quit melancholia number originally. We broke it into small bits and whacked it back on ...

new demos

hi all .. so ive put up a few demos, nothing is mastered yet so will sound a bit muddy but some of you like the mud i belive. well hope you like some of the mixes. got some real blinders up our sleve...
