(Dave G. & Reverend Kane)
Daniel a.k.a. Reverend Kane, who occupied oneself totally to the electronic sounds, called Techno, shortly after the Fall of the Wall, met a same minded, who called himself David, later Satanic Phase and once more later Outcry. This connection was supposed to develop in a promising, a musical no, in a revolutionary direction.
David, who rather was influenced by Hip Hop Beats in the early 90s, became more interested in profit during the time, what shall be good for the Rave Scene of that time, by buying CDs and tickets for the appropriate music style. He had a special preference for the perfect average of his musical taste. At this time a special sound came from England to Germany, called UK-Hardcore, a mixture of Break Beats (a faster version of Hip Hop), trance spaces, groovy hooks and all that around 140 Bpm upwards.
Oddly Daniel was also on a Break Beat - trip. Especially releases of Acen, SL2, Altern-8 and of course the unique boys of The Prodigy convinced him. At the same time straight things were topical, also for David, but in a few years this shall be done.
While David and Daniel rocked all the cities and all the halls in Germany, the idea to do something on their own came up. Of course it has to have to do something with music production. Step by step equipment was bought and the right inspiration came along - and this again from England.
In 1996/97 Big Beats took over the German market, which were also a kind of the already known Break Beats. The difference was that the early sounds always have been more like rave and the Big Beats just rocked or were tremendously funky. At that moment they both evaded totally of the 4/4 beat. A new era arose and Big Beats growled soon in many, many clubs of the country, however this wasnt supposed to last for long. Nevertheless
Outcry was born and the first live gigs managed. The sound from England became tougher more and more and soon more like rave again. The Big Beat wave passed as fast as it came and circa in 2000 labels came up, that published music, which will be categorized later as Nu Skool Breaks. That was the new rail Outcry drove with. Nevertheless the boys stuck loyally with the Big Beats and this mixture is it what makes Outcry special till today.
Daniel, who occupied oneself the DJ-ing under the pseudonym Reverend Kane for quite some time, started his own project called ACiDicy sometime in 2003 and till today the boys are confessed Funky Breaker, who try to rock every event, when Outcry massages the speakers to ecstasy and Kane rocks the crowd with special Break Beat-DJ-sets of the other kind.
And there is no end in sight
