Hugo Durán

Hugo Durán was born in Mexico City, 1975. Hugo starts his musical education as a bass player at the age of 11. Raised in a Cuban musician family, he s strongly influenced by jazz improvisation and afro caribbean rhythms. Without leaving his instrumental formation he start to work with electronic devices such as analog synthesizers, samplers and effects but was until he bounce all that elements into a computer when he start his development as a composer. He started to play live laptop with his long time nickname "kong" and transforming his sound to his actual blend; recently he left his nickname for use his real name.
