as a youth, Don Connect "moved around a lot" absorbing the many cultures and diversity that came with life on the road with a musician there was always room for Don Connect to be creative. But the quest to be a star deemed to tough and the family split.Subsiding with his mother, they moved city to city and wound up in Fengate housing community in the greater toronto area. Don Connect was surrounded by Drugs,poverty,corruption and everything else that comes with life in a low income Government housing project. Due to alcohol abuse his mother left him and his sister to fen for themselves. He took charge and As he grew so did his connections to the streets. He found acceptance and guidance from the people who he felt were just like him. he always knew inside that there was more to him and life then what he had been given. From the poor he learned the power and value of a dollar, from the streets he learned the importance of respect and honour. He found the more he dedicated himself, the clearer he could see the path that laid in front of him.From broken homes and wasted lives, to Lakeshore pads and record sales, Don Connect has made his mark as one of the most Powerful yet underrated emcees in Canada. With ‘failure’ not part of his vocabulary, this talented and persistent artist who believes strongly in his craft, will not stop until he leaves his mark on the worldbr>
