My life is not my own- it belongs to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Everything I've given up to follow God is totally worth it. Christianity isn't about rules and regulations and no fun, it's about living your life in the will of God, and believe me that's the best place you can be. No matter who you are, no matter what you've been through, no matter what you've done, Jesus Christ is ready to take you into His arms, to restore you in a right relationship with Him. He says in John 10:10 "the theif has come to steal and to kill and to destroy, but I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." All that we have to do to recieve His free gift of salvation is to believe on Him, to be ready to turn our lives over to Him. John 1:12 says "But as many as recieved Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name." I don't know about you but I feel pretty special being a child of God. It is now my job to study the word of God, the Bible, to find out how He wants me to live. I must admit, I'm not perfect. I have made many mistakes. Some of you have probobly seen me doing things that I never should have been doing as a "child of God." I deeply regret those actions, but with God's help and forgiveness I am growing stronger in my faith and not giving up. I have to say that dedicating my life to Jesus Christ is and always will be the single most important thing I've ever done. My faith has given me a peace,purpose and joy in my life that I never would have had otherwise. I don't know where I would be right now without Jesus, but I know it wouldn't be good.
