About Me

Well let's see...I am 30 years old, a Christian, and currently single. I teach Elementary Art. I played volleyball through college and still love to play competitive women's volleyball every chance I get. I even travel usually to do it. I love to weightlift and am in to fitness. I seem to always have random partime jobs...especially in the summer because I teach. I always try to find jobs that allow me to be outdoors. I would choose manual labor over sitting at a desk any day. Currently I help out a guy that bartends at private parties and wedding receptions whenever needed. He is a lot of fun and every event is different so it is never dull (and the money is good). I am very out-going and love to laugh. I am a very independent individual... sometimes to a fault, but always looking for the person that can break that down a little. I love to travel and try to go somewhere with my friends at least once a year, usually in the spring. I haven't really traveled outside of the US but that time will come eventually. I like an occational dance club. I love to go watch and bet on the horse races. I am a lover of sports and love to go tailgate before the University of Kentucky football games. I love many types of wines and I always like to experiment with trying new brands. I love going to winery's, especially, because you can try all the wines before you buy them. :) I live right next to a lake here, so boating in the summer time is big. I love a good theatrical performance or to walk through an art gallery. It sparks all kinds of creative juices for me. I love meeting new people and making new friends. I love to just experience life. I also enjoy nice quiet evenings at home, too. I consider myself a very well rounded individual. I am not a priss, but I know how to carry myself. I am not a suck up, even if I know that it would take me farther in life to do so. I am who I am and I can't stand those who are fake. No one would ever guess, though, that I grew up on a farm in the middle of no where. LOL

Music:

I love all kinds of music. It just depends on what mood I am in at the time as to what I listen to. I guess my favorite genre would be blues/jazz, but I like nearly everything. Tend to stay away from the Heavy Metal, Heavy Rap, and I don't mind county, but you won't find it in my headphones. I really like Justin Timberlake's new Song, "Bringing Sexy Back."

Movies:

I know this sounds silly, but I love movies that either are about sports teams or an individaul in sports or I guess even an individual by themselvs...that has had to persevere through hardship and became great, like Rudy or the Replacements, even GI Jane, Save the Last Dance, or Mr. Holland's Opis. Really though, I like so so many kinds of movies. The one's I usually exclude are the really really gorey ones..or the really stupid dumb humor movies.

Television:

I usually don't watch much tv during the summer months, but in the winter I get hooked on a few shows. I would be totally lost without my DVR!!! Shows I watch are: Grey's Anatomy, Law and Order-SVU, CSI-LV, and have just gotten myself hooked on a new show called, Men In Trees. But I also watch American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. .. Books:

Just finished reading Bad Business, a fictional murder mystery. Recently read Memiors of Agaisha, The Devil Wears Prada, and Lucia Lucia.

Heroes:

Besides the Lord, the only person I can truly say is my Hereo would be my Mother. She is very mild mannered. She never is quick to speak. A very strong individual. She persevered a lot of hardship when raising my sister's and I. She has put up with my dad all these years.(LOL) She went to college at the same time as my younger sister and they even graduated the same weekend. She suffers now from Rheumetoid Arthritis. She never ever complains.I would also have to say all those men and women that are over fighting in Iraq. Also...Policemen, Firemen, and all those that put their life on the line everyday to keep our country safe.
