Through You loves to involve their audience and their fans, as Mic Kirkland has said," Through You loves to flirt with the audience on stage, music is a way to escape and really enjoy the art of it."
Through You has played many shows, every time with passion and everytime for the love of the music. Bruce Lee Rock- The Ultimate Expression of their music. They play whatever they feel at the time and they don’t limit themselves. King has said,"Whenever I go to a concert, not one that I'm playing, I'm always in the crowd saying to myself, “Oh I want to be on that stage." It doesn’t matter who is up there, it's just always calling to you. You really want to be up there, you just don’t feel right out in the audience, you feel right up on stage.â€
Through You in my opinion likes to act goofy and crazy on stage. Mic Kirkland likes to (back)flip off anything he can find, he likes to involve himself with the crowd; he will get off the stage and sing, to just to feel one with the audience. The Guys are really friendly to their fans and the audience, they have great personalities and talking with them is very easy you don’t have to feel uncomfortable around them.
The first time I met Through You was in November of 2005 at the Volusia County Fairgrounds. What I noticed about them at first was when Mic jumped on the picnic tables along with Jeremy (Bass Guitarist), they made a good impression with their music, their performance, and personalities. I stayed afar, because I didn’t want to be up close and personal while watching them, once they got off stage I hung back from them cause they were tired from doing the show and plus they already had people buying stuff and asking for autographs and pictures. Once everything calmed down and the other band went on the stage I approached them and I asked how they were and if they enjoyed their show. They were really nice and I had a chat with them. King at the time was only 12 years of age, Jeremy told me that they were opening up for Drowning Pool at the Hard Rock and they said I should come. I don’t remember the date of that show, but I’m sure it was around the end of November. Two of my friends and I showed up 2 hours before the doors opened, so we sat down and waited, then out of the corner of my eye I saw Jeremy and I waved him over and gave him a hug. It was around 8pm and the doors finally opened, around 9pm the show started, and it was great. If you all want to see what happened at Hard Rock and how they performed, then buy their CD/DVD called Through You Silhouette & Since, which has photos from Hard Rock and other pictures, it also has videos of the 5 songs they performed at HR. A video trailer, bonus footage, and contact info and also their credits. I hope you have enjoyed the little article I have written for you.
According to THROUGH YOU's official bio, "The name 'THROUGH YOU' encompasses the idea that music's potential is truly reached when the music that was written as an expression of the songwriter is given to the listener who is able to apply the music to something that means a great deal to them in their life, so much, that they feel compelled to let go and sing out the words. Music is in full bloom when it continues through YOU, the listener.
