My name is James Terry and I was born in Kodiak, Alaska. I lived in McKinley Park until I was four. We lived in the middle of nowhere. We had no plumbing, no hot water, no television...just a forest for a backyard to play in. Since there isn't much to do in Alaska, I took on wrestling at the young age of five. I continued wrestling throughout highschool and college in the state of Arizona. After my college career was done, I took a couple years off, yet I knew something was missing. At that point I decided to dedicate myself to mixed martial arts with the same enthusiasm I had for wrestling. I moved to California in January 2006 and ran into the opportunity of training with Cung Le. I jumped at the chance.
After a short six months of training, Coach Cung felt I was ready to step up and turn pro by August. I am looking forward to a long and successful fight career, following the footsteps of Coach Cung Le. ";
