Phil Lambert's outstanding ability as a songwriter and performer has set him on track to becoming one of Australias up-and-coming solo-artists. Phil Lambert delivers a powerful performance at every show with the incorporation of piano and strings to his music and with catchy melodies and choruses, has been likened to artists such as John Meyer, Daniel Powter and Ben Lee.Phil Lambert moved to Melbourne from New Zealand after receiving a Bachelor of Music Degree majoring in Composition. Leaving his old band of three years OSKA behind, with which he received regular gigs, airplay, reviews and two EP releases, he began his solo career in Australia. Since living in Melbourne, his music has grown from strength to strength in maturity, depth and musicality, developing a distinctly commercial style. He has been playing both acoustically and with a professional support band for the past three years and has headlined at The Espy (Front Bar & Gershwin Room), The Armadale, The Dan OConnell, The Pony, The Town Hall, The Empress, The Builders Arms, Manchester Lane and acoustically at The Armadale, The Empress, Revolver, The Corner Hotel, Spy Bar, Club Acoustica, Hardimans Café and Hard Rock Café (Sydney and Melbourne). He has also received local radio play on 97.9 FM, PBS, a spot play on Triple M (Track from new EP will be on new independent show), radio play and interview on FBI (Sydney) and Planet Radio (Brisbane), including a live acoustic set on Channel 31s Asylum TV.In the past two years, Phil Lambert has completed two interstate tours to NSW and QLD for his last EP Let it Fool You and has just returned from promoting the release of his new EP Stand Alone again in NSW and QLD after his very successful release at Manchester Lane, Melbourne. He is in the process of organising an acoustic tour to New Zealand for December 2006 and a European tour for the middle of 2007.Stand Alone was entirely self-funded and written/performed by Phil Lambert, and exhibits his unique ability, as a songwriter, to write music that appeals to a wide audience of commercial listeners. Phil Lamberts strong and ever-expanding portfolio has firmly established him as one of Australias up-and-coming singer/songwriters to keep an eye on.
