Joplin's RATS have made a name for themselves, and gained a reputation over the years as a hard rocking punk rock band from Southwest Missouri. RATS play an infectious brand of punk rock and roll. Beginning in 2006, the band has taken influence from the 1990's revival of punk rock n roll. Forming a raw, blazing fury of sound, complete with course vocals and a unique delivery of brutally honest lyrics, their live performance is renowned for its energetic style and sometimes destructive nature. The band self-released a well-circulated demo CD last year and it has garnered praise among the stalwarts in the everchanging punk scene. RATS regard their scene with an ultimate respect, and the songs they write are an ode to the life it lives. Come out to a show and get involved.
