Hmm that got the ball rolling so the typing starts here,
* I care about people in general and try to do the right thing at all times.. But I am not as idealistic as a hippie so I guess I’m not one.. However I do have a very bad self destructive streak and can be quite eccentric and tend to act badly and do things.. I wish I hadn't... aghh
I suffer from sleep paralysis so discovered vivid hallucinations before I did any drugs of any kind! I also have weird sleeping paterns
ART!! Before I found music art was my thing..
My taste in art leans towards the surreal I admire Salvador Dali, Mc Escher, HR Giger, Magritte and also the sinister twisted cutesy creations of mark ryden, Pete Fowler and mark bryan… I also like really really borderline Insane/genius artists like Richard Dadd, Ralph Steadman, Bosch ,Vincent Van Gogh and of course H.R Giger. I also like graphic novel/comic artists such as Steve Dillon, Hunt Emerson, Bryan Talbot, Glen Fabrey, Jason Brashill..
And this guy I really DIG!!
I like various types of music from tool to Donavon from John Cage to John martyn to John Zorn, To mr Bungle {mike patton in general actually,}. From charlie parker to syd barret.. From complete noise to complete bliss.. All in-betweens..
I also like noise as in washing machines, trains, car alarms.. And just what the hell happened to the zkkkkkkkk sound of modems?? Damn you broad band
I am currently reading these 1930's encyclopaedias called The Wonderland Of Knowledge that I was fortunate enough to be given in 2003 by my friend Jantil. I don't foresee myself finishing them anytime soon as they are both long and hilarious…
I am a songwriter, let me elaborate here tho,
Song writing : I don't write about girls and I don't write about relationships. I prefer to write about ; stabbings, getting sacked, growing a fantastical beard, Jehovah witnesses {- those smartly attired doorknockin' pretentious preachers}, tourist scams, sleeping rough under the autostratt by schiphol, how ridiculous the concept of star signs is, starling puree, nebulas. And yes, I also have a song about plantonic relationships with clocks... But that's another story..
I write poetry in a shitty old note pad and on various scraps of crumpled paper and these become songs, usually. Often I just cut a load of scribbles up and make a song out of it.. Though recently I hit this horrid creative block but that's seem to have passed now, I've wrote a song about shapes, one about elfen leid {the manga series}, another about carbon footprints and one about Joe Boyd {manager of early pink floyd and founder of UFO club and International Times,} and his opinion on the 60's which I called "The 90's In Reverse".. Still don't have a job tho..
I like Carl Starling cartoon music and have learnt to play guitar like that..
I am in this psychedelic pop band called Meteor Street and fairly sure I am the most unreliable + tempremental, half soaked front man on the planet! Who else would break so many strings?? I write all the time and no subject is too surreal for my liking.Asides from dreaming and writing poetry I enjoy spending time with my friends.. Ed is the only one close to understanding me..
