Mister Mixup
& friends.
In my earlier days I've was a member of the following:
The Psychedelic Gravediggers (79-81), Steamroller Gloves (82-85), The Sic Boys (83-85), Cardboard Walrus (83-2001) performing live with all of them. Ranging from hardcore weirdness, ridiculous tunes and lyrics, to freakout madness they weren't easy listening and followed a tradition of John Peel lo-fi quality.
The early/mid 80's was dominated with solo electronic work and occasional surrealistic monologues performed at free festivals and the London club scene. It was all pretty much wrapped up with my psychedelic art at the time.
The late 80's through to the mid 90's saw a stronger interest in electronic rhythmns and occasional film soundtracks.
From then to the present day has seen a continuation with electronics, composition and collaboration.
Influences: Almost everything.
Rock on!
Sounds Like: Anything from electronic soundscapes/soundtracks, oddball pop ditties & other unusual sounds. Mister Mixup uses the classic VCS3 synthesisor, keyboards & effects, organic sounds, digital sounds & any other means.
