Born in England & bred Assyrian, Geemayne has the 'best of both' cultures. Growing up he was exposed to middle eastern & rap music, his two greatest influences, with which he hopes to mix & bring something new to the table.
I released 'We've Got To End This' to see if there is a market for Assyrian Rap...Hip Hop and Rap originates from African-Americans so they have their own urban music, The Spanish and Latinos have Reggaeton, even the Nepalese have their own rap! Assyrians definitely have something real to rap about so it’s about time someone did and that’s where I come in but I’m not sure I want to do it alone.
If this is successful I will most likely just concentrate on producing Assyrian tunes so watch this space!
