About Me
My Name is Dean. Some of you know me as jarvis. Some do not. Some Know me. Most do not. I am cool with that. I am 22 going on 23. I am a single male who works in hospitality. I work far too much. I do not have many people in my life that i can say i love, but the people i choose to spend my time on, are worth it. I might drink with you, have dinner with you, have d+ms with you, go on random missions with you, but know this - If i choose to speak to you - i do. I am so far from perfect its not funny. I am sincere. i mean well. I am confused. I am complex. I seem simple. If you see me as simple, or basic, or shallow - you do not know me. If you understand me- you are a bigger help to me than you know. i need you
Jarvis's career in the club scene began late in 03 fresh out of high school and reporting to your nearest dancefloor. Working at resident club voodoo/level1, He redefined the image of knowing what it takes for a great night out. Tirelessly, he brought L1 to the top of the to-do-list on a Thursday and friday night, outweighing Davey's, Flanagan's, and shutting down the (21) on Fri nights (getting himself barred from flanagan's for in the process). His skills then were required @ Cube and the Bay hotel(mornington) where he continuously worked alongside Grant smillie, andy van, Making your Wed night come to life. (21) came to the party poaching jarvis to run Onelove #1 on the road tour, IamRocKs@r and numerous special events. Sunday nights then saw him working The cove hotel with mainstay band Fudge and DJ Matty, to cap off what was already a massive weekend had by all. Blitz (berwick) saw him do special events there on sat nights and the list goes on. Jarvis's rise to the top was a fast one, seen by few before him and probably will be a wile before its seen again. In 05 He was appointed Nightclub manager and was to Oversee the weekly running of Level 1 from "My nightclub rules", "John Courses-Vicious Cuts CD Launch", "Ozmosis fashion parade", dink offers, new ideas etc. After the shock sale of level 1, re-located voodoo@the bay, until Jarvis decided to venture out on his own with good friends Mark (middo) and toppy (corey) to found his own club - The Red Room. Choosing Vinyl conspiracy over aging icons (disco brothers) We had successfully injected the electro house movement into Frankston. The doors flooded, the Place Pumping- The Red Room was the next level of thursday clubbing- Hot sweaty and just pure sex. 4 months down the trck Jarvis pulled the pin (In house politics) to Join his friends @ GPO (melbourne) on Sat night and Yfw (GPO and Qbar) a great venture for jarvis to work closer with "funky Col" and crew.
A career over the past 3 years has seen him work closely with the like of John Course, Grant Smillie(TVRock), Ivan Gough(TVRock), Andy Van(Vandalism), Mr Timothy(T-Funk), Boogs, Chardy(L1, Red Room, Rythem), Dirty South, James Ash, Anj, Miss Peta, Colin McMillan, Fryzie, Disco Brothers, Vinyl Conspiracy, Hardy Boys, Footclan, Sean Rault, Derek K, Mark John, , Clint Wood, Tani Knight, Larry G, Scott Gardner, Kaz James, Katie underwood, Reggie, Millsy, Jana pittman, Chopper and jacko, etc.
Now Hiding in the shadows, you might catch a glimpse of jarvis at your nearest dancefloor, you might not.... and there are a few tracks he is due to release as AudioNinja is set to break into the club scene with "Party under the milky way" and "what wonderful funk" (audio ninjas smashed out mixes) out soon.
Stay Tuned for info on up and coming clubs, Dj's ,reviews, future plans. If there is one thing you can garuantee about the Melbourne club scene - No one did it quite like jarvis did.............
