SAETURNUM

About Me

SAETURNUM are a Progressive/Melodic/Doom Death Metal band from the Northern suburbs of Adelaide. Taking influence from the European Death Metal, Doom Metal and Progressive Metal scene, SAETURNUM write music combining the dark side of Death Metal, the meloncholic beauty of Doom Metal and the Technicality of Progressive Metal. The band formed mid 2006 and since then have played at Adelaides premier Metal Festival 'Against The Grain' aswell as opening for one of Australias biggest Metal bands LORD.
Each of the members of the band listen to different sub genres of Metal with everything from extreme Death and Black Metal to melodic Power Metal, speed Metal to Doom Metal and even Rock. Other genres such as Jazz, Blues, Classical, Funk etc. are also liked by the members, which gives lots of the music influence from outside the boundries of metal. It is because all the members have different tastes and influences that SAETURNUM has created an original take on Death Metal.
In 2009, we are currently writing new tracks for our upcoming album and we shall be taking the year off playing live shows to focus 100% on the release that will hopefully be out early 2010.
When were not trying to be all metal and stuff, we like to breakdance...
