Excarnated, a Death Metal band from Melbourne, Australia was formed in August 1997 as Hacktician by Paul (Guitar) and Chris (Vocals) and they then changed the name to Excarnated when, Gary (Bass) joined the band in 1998.
They were influenced by bands such as Incantation, Possessed, Autopsy, Mortician, and from Australia: Acheron, Corpse Molestation, Disembowelment and Necrotomy.

As of April 2006 Excarnated disbanded, both past and present members have formed or are apart of other bands: Pervertum Obscurum, Nihilistic Front, Sanguineous, Embodied, Belligerent Intent.
