About Me

I get my Free MySpace Layouts at LayoutStreet.com
I hereby proclaim that I am the only true, real and authentic Decatur Queen! Yes, Queen of Decatur; Goddess of the South!
ThanX 4 experiencing the SwéZi Space! My name is SwéZi. I am a recording and performing rap artist. I write my own lyrics and I also compose hip-hop and R&B accompaniments. I was born & raised on the East Side of Atlanta. I also lived in Los Angeles and in Tenerife, Spain. My parents weren't in the military but we traveled due to music. Coming from a musically inclined family has privileged me to travel abroad to Austria and Japan. The Canary Islands is where I got my start performing original rap compositions in front of a live band at only 11 & 12 years of age. I have also had two "Just For Me" relaxer commercial soundtracks. I got my start in the industry from doing tracks by proxy for very successful Reggae artists. During a 5 year hiatus from rap I was concentrating on music production. My rap style is heavily influenced by other legends. I'm a good mixture: I have the strong delivery of Da Brat; the substance of Lauryn Hill; and the southern appeal of Pimp C. OutKast; Scarface; Jay-Z; 8 Ball & MJG are among my favorite rappers. The debut, "SadittY", is coming soon! Look for it. SwéZi

GOD Bless!!! Here are some words of encouragement:

If you want what wealthy people have . . . do what wealthy people do!!!

Band Members: The production page is coming soon! Check back for the URL. Many of you already know me and know that I'm a Jill of All Trades. However, this page is specifically for SwéZi the Artist and to market my debut, "SadittY" as soon as it is complete. Don't get it twisted though. I am still producing. If you need tracks just contact my manager and tell him everything you need so he can give you a quote:

Influences: I'm influenced by at least 75% of the rap music out there: Too $hort; Kilo; OutKast; T.I.; Ludacris; Lil' Kim; Talib Kweli; Mos Def; Pharoah Monch; 2Pac; Biggie; Nas; Jay-Z; MC Lyte; Queen Latifah; Lauryn Hill; Missy Elliot; The Roots; etc.

As far as other genres go, I don't even have enough room to type all of it: George Clinton; Bootsie Collins; Eric Clapton; John Coltrane; Jill Scott; Erykah Badu; Nickelbacks; Aerosmith; Prince; Average White Band; Thelonius Monk; Jimmie Hendrix; O-Jays; Slave; Sly & The Family Stone; etc.
Sounds Like: Da Brat is my idol so it's no surprise to me that everyone says that I sound like her even though I don't think I do. Others also say that I sound "hard" like 2Pac but I think that is because they don't really know how to define a female rap sound - go figure - or better yet listen. I think I sound like Pimp C as far as my voice is concerned. When I rap I have a very strong southern drawl that I usually control when I'm just speaking. My lyrics on the other hand remind me of some classic Goodie MoB.

Jun 14th it's Going Down!

I have changed my mind about going out for my birthday. I think I just want to do what I did last year: Chill with friends & family; toss some steaks on da grill; and get my drank on. Y'all know where...
