I'm Sam Sousa, He's Dos Passos

I am here for Networking

About Me

I have the coolest baby boy ever named Elliott Holden, after Smith and Caulfield respectively. He laughs like no other, though at what I am not sure. His eyes are always on the planes and his feet on the ground. My wife is twice as smart as me and three times as hot. She likes Phillip Roth and Rilo Kiley. For no reason what so ever she tolerates me. Go to her page and compliment her. I go to grad school with a small clan within a small clan of intelligent adult aged people, though none are as intelligent as me. Seriously. Not even Jimmy. I plan to focus on studying. I always wanted to be a writer and am currently plotting out my debut novel. Thirteen years in the making and I am almost ready to begin, I just need a little bit more tragedy to give my book an angle. I hope to write for cash as a cultural critic someday. I like the word fuck. Lately I have been writing for an awesome zine called the New Scheme, link-up with it below. Check it out in pdf format. The editor, Stuart, is a smart and well motivated individual. Even after this is gone I have a feeling he'll be making a mark somewhere. Hell, he publishes my bullshit, so there's one plus in his favor. Forget podcasts, start a band. Keep your eyes peeled for Bring Your Brain, the funkiest hardcore band this side of the new millenium.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Tobias Wolff, Beth Ditto, James Baldwin, Wes Anderson, Bunuel, Orson Welles, Foucault, Gwendolyn Brooks, Dick Gregory, and Clifford Geertz. Also Stanley Fish, who if I play my cards right, this might happen. Some others are dead, some are not, but I am almost certain I'll meet none of them. I also would like to see At the Drive-In just one last time. However, some things are just better off dead.
