About Me

TRIBORO

Triboro was formed with one common goal in mind purifying the state of hip hop and promoting unity within three boroughs of New York that are normally at odds. The concept to link three of the finest conceptual solo lyricist together to form one super group emerged in February, 2006. The artists were none other than Sean Conn from Queens, Frsh Aire from Manhattan and Elus from the Bronx. Sean Conn met Frsh Aire through a family friend, both found out about there common love for Hip Hop. Shortly after them meeting, Sean Conn was called to do an interview with a local college radio station WBMB. At the time the host of the program was also Elus’s manager and after the interview Conn was approached about doing collaboration with Elus. Within a week's time, Conn had met with Elus at his studio in the Bronx. In only an hours time they laid a song called BX 2 QU, the sound and vibe was amazing. Elus and Conn bridged a strong friendship from that point on, later that week Conn met up with Frsh in Harlem and let him hear BX 2 QU. Frsh was blown away from the song and wanted to meet Elus. The three met up at Elus’s studio and though it would be a good idea to do a freestyle to the track 1-800 hustler. In this freestyle the name Triboro came up to show the merging of the three boroughs just like the bridge in New York. At that moment a stoke of genius came over the three solo artist, even in the mix of there blossoming solo careers, them having the same common goal in fixing the state of hip hop went from a thought to a union. Thus Triboro was born. For a little over the past year Triboro has recorded over seventy-five songs of album worthy material. Their stage savvy persona has lead them to headline a two hour show in Pennsylvania, as well as performing at the Hammerstein Ballroom and lighting up stages in the Tri-State Area open mic circuit to the point of other artists not wanting to perform following there act on stage. Working with various producers both established and unknown, Triboro released a mixtape in the summer of 2006 called “Where Da The Game Go” which was haled a classic by consumers. From the buzz of the mixtape Triboro was asked to partake in the Hot97, Converse, and Turner Broadcasting Hip-Hop Rapathon in which the goal to break the Guinness Book of World Record for the longest rapping cipher in history. This event lasted 24 hours and included 120 MC’s in which Triboro stood out the most and won the opportunity to perform at Hot97 Summer Jam 2007. Through extensive networking and promotion Triboro recently became the new face of “Dough Boy” clothing company by sponsorship. As of September 2007 Triboro performed at the Annual D.C live concert. The group has currently completed a shopping package for potential record deals in the first quarter of 2008. That year promises to only yield more success for Triboro and with the business savvy to coincide with the phenomenal music that is a no brainer as to why this group will lead the direction of where Hip-Hop is headed.
